It's been just over 6 weeks since Belle's stage 1 surgery. Her ear continues to look better every day. Although we still keep it covered with
bacitraycin so it looks shiny, especially in the pictures.
When we spoke to Doctor
Reinisch before Christmas he told us to keep rubbing her stitches every night at bath time to get them out. By Christmas we had most of them out, and for the last few days we have been working on the one remaining stitch that just won't come out. Dr. R. says not to worry about one remaining stitch (although he had said they should all be out by Christmas) but it sure would be nice to have it gone. Belle says it doesn't really hurt when I touch it, but she still gets upset when I do.
