Opps!

On Saturday (3 days after surgery) I was shampooing Belle's hair for the first time post-surgery, and I found a small surgical staple in the back of Belle's head. My husband and I both checked to see if it would easily come out and it wouldn't so I called Dr R Saturday evening. He called back the next morning and said we would need to pull it out.

Luckily a dear friend from Church (thanks Margo!) was able to get us a skin stapler remover to use which made getting it out much easier, but even so Belle was totally freaked out that we had to remove something from her head.

If any other parents are reading this...check for staples BEFORE heading home after surgery... it would have been much easier if we had!
